About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Luxstone Solitaires website, consultations, design proposals and bespoke ring commissions. By making an enquiry, approving a design, paying a deposit or placing an order, you agree to the terms that apply to that stage of the service.
Luxstone Solitaires can be contacted at enquiries@luxstonesolitaires.co.uk or 07498 719812.
Our service
Luxstone Solitaires provides a consultation-led bespoke ring service. We specialise in made-to-order engagement rings, statement rings, celebration rings, anniversary rings and other important personal commissions. We do not operate a standard checkout for finished stock items.
Each order is guided individually. We may discuss stone options, gemstone suitability, metal choice, ring size, setting style, design direction, budget, timescale and presentation before an order proceeds.
Consultations and design proposals
Initial enquiries and consultations are intended to help you decide whether to proceed. Any proposal, sketch, render, design studio preview, estimated price or timescale is indicative until confirmed in writing.
Visuals are provided to help communicate the design direction. They are not final manufacturing CAD unless expressly stated. Proportions, stone availability, colour, measurements, setting details and final finish may vary as part of the bespoke design process.
Orders, approvals and deposits
An order is placed when we confirm the agreed specification and you pay the requested deposit or payment. The specification may include the ring type, centre stone, certificate details where applicable, gemstone, cut, carat, metal, setting, side stones, band style, ring size, price and estimated timescale.
Deposits secure design time, sourcing work, stones, materials and manufacturing capacity. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, work will not begin until the deposit or required payment has cleared.
You are responsible for checking all details before approval, including names, dates, engraving, ring size, metal, stone selection and design specification.
Bespoke non-refund policy
Luxstone rings are made to order to the customer's approved specification. Because of this bespoke and personalised nature, orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded for change of mind once the design, stone, materials or order have been approved and work or sourcing has begun.
Deposits and payments are non-refundable once they have been committed to bespoke design work, stone sourcing, materials, manufacturing or other non-recoverable order costs. This includes cases where you later change your mind, change your preferred style, provide the wrong ring size, decide the occasion is no longer proceeding or no longer want the item.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, not as described or does not meet the standards required by law, we will assess the issue and provide the appropriate legal remedy, which may include repair, replacement or another remedy required by law.
Changes after approval
We will try to accommodate requested changes where possible. Changes after approval may affect price, timescale, stone availability and manufacturing. Some changes may not be possible once stones, materials or production work have been committed.
If a change is possible, we may require written approval and further payment before proceeding.
Diamonds, gemstones and natural variations
Diamonds and gemstones vary naturally in colour, clarity, inclusions, measurements, cut appearance and character. Coloured gemstones, including emeralds, rubies, sapphires and tourmalines, may display natural inclusions or colour zoning. These are part of the character of natural stones and are not automatically faults.
Where certificates or grading reports are provided, they are issued by independent laboratories or suppliers and should be read as expert opinions at the time of assessment. Images and screens may not show stone colour or sparkle exactly.
Prices and payment
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Quotes may change if the design, stone, metal, ring size, market price, supplier availability or delivery requirements change before order confirmation.
The final balance must be paid before delivery or collection unless agreed otherwise in writing. We may pause work, withhold delivery or cancel an unconfirmed proposal if payment is late or unavailable.
Timescales
Estimated timescales are provided in good faith. Bespoke jewellery can be affected by stone sourcing, design revisions, hallmarking, quality control, courier timing and supplier availability. We will keep you informed if a material delay arises.
Time is not of the essence unless we expressly agree a fixed deadline in writing.
Delivery, collection and risk
Delivery or collection arrangements will be agreed before completion. You must provide accurate delivery details and ensure someone authorised is available to receive the item where required.
Risk passes to you when the ring is delivered to the agreed address, collected by you or collected by someone authorised by you. Ownership passes only once full payment has been received.
Ring size, resizing and aftercare
Ring sizing should be treated carefully, especially for surprise proposals. If you provide a ring size, you are responsible for its accuracy. Some designs, stones, eternity bands, engravings or settings may limit resizing options.
Aftercare, cleaning, polishing, resizing, repairs or inspections may be quoted separately unless agreed otherwise. Normal wear, accidental damage, impact, chemical exposure, loss, theft, misuse and unauthorised repair work are not manufacturing faults.
Warranty and inspections
We stand behind the craftsmanship of each bespoke ring. If you believe there is a manufacturing issue, contact us promptly with photographs and details. We may need to inspect the ring before deciding the appropriate remedy.
We recommend regular professional checks for claws, settings and stone security, particularly for rings worn daily. Fine jewellery should be insured from the date of delivery or collection.
Website information
The website is provided for general information and enquiry purposes. We take care to present accurate information, but gemstone education, pricing guidance, images and design content should not be treated as a binding offer or professional valuation.
Intellectual property
Website content, branding, images, copy, design concepts, renders and proposal materials belong to Luxstone Solitaires or our licensors unless stated otherwise. They must not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to the above, Luxstone Solitaires is not responsible for indirect losses, loss of opportunity, emotional distress caused by event changes, or losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by you.
Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
